Got a smart tech solution for city cycling? This is for you

Cycling Industries Europe is all about finding great business opportunities for cycling.

So we are delighted to be partners in Velo-city Dublin's Smart Pedal Pitch, together with with Google, Dublin City Council, Smart Docklands, Smart Dublin, European Cyclists' Federation, the Bicycles and ITS project (BITS) and Dublin Cycling Campaign.

If you have got a smart tech solution that could transform cycling in cities we want your ideas, and you will get the chance to bring them to reality on the streets of Dublin, European home of some of the world's leading technology companies.

What successful applicants get:

• 9 shortlisted companies will practice pitch to a local and global tech community at Google’s EMEA HQ, as well as hear first hand what’s been happening with Google’s cycling innovation
• The same 9 companies will then give their final pitch to Velo-city’s global cycle community audience where 3 finalists will be chosen
• The 3 finalists will go on to pitch at the main stage of the conference, with 1 champion chosen and 2 runner-ups

What the winner of the challenge gets:

• Up to 10,000 EUR in cash and prizes for champion, 7,500 EUR and 5,000 EUR for 1st and 2nd runner-up respectively
• Work with Dublin’s Smart City project team and Transportation department to pilot your solution in Dublin City for at least 3 months to gain end-user validation
• At least 3 months of desk space with the Smart City team
• Mentorship from some of the leading experts in ITS, Tech, and Cycling Innovation
• PR opportunities on a national, regional, and international level
