- Write back to the recruiter/schedule a call/ offer to call back.?
- Build Rapport. Without a rapport you will not get far.?
- Research the company/role and your recruiter.
- Find out the mission statement of the company.
- Look at Glassdoor ratings of the company.
- Understand the culture of the company.?
- Look up the case studies of the company to understand what sort of problems they solve.?
- Look up the LI profile of your recruiter and learn about them.
- Study the LI Insights page of the company.?
- Now, ask yourself, are you excited about the opportunity? If you are not aligned with what you found, take a step back and think what might be more exciting/fulfilling.???
- Questions a recruiter might ask you:
- Tell me about yourself.?
- Talk about the impact you created.?
- Motivation: Why this company? Why now? Why are you looking?
- What is your ideal role/environment?
- Tell me when questions like : tell me when you ran into a conflict or solved a major problem for the business.?
- Are you interviewing actively??
- Any deadlines? Location/Relocation? Comp Expectation.
- Explain any career gaps.

- What are some of the challenges of this role? How is success measured in this role?
- When you were interviewing for XYZ, what would you have liked to know before you joined?
- What do you like best about working at XYZ?
- If you could change anything within the company, what would you change?
- What does the onboarding/training process look like?
- What is the growth curve for this role??
- Why did they join XYZ?
- Can you tell me about the team, the team size, problems they are working on?
- How long is the interview process, can you walk me through the interviewing steps?
- After a Recruiter Screen:
- Gut check- check in if you feel good or blah.?
- If Blah- do more research and explore your feelings.
- Follow up with a thank you email.?
- Finally reward yourself for taking the first step and relax.?
