Got Low Energy? Try These Tips...

Last week, I asked you to determine if you were "Busy" or "Productive" and I got many people emailing me back asking how to become more productive, but they didn't know how.

One person, in particular, sent me a text about having low energy and it reminded me of when I was struggling to find the motivation to get work done because I was overwhelmed, tired, and exhausted. When we are in this state, it is really difficult to be productive.

If you are struggling with low energy, give these easy tips a try:

  1. Start taking a multivitamin, especially vitamin B12.?While multivitamins are NOT a substitute for eating healthy foods, multivitamins can help to supplement your diet and fill in the gaps. We may not even realize that our energy levels are low because we are missing key vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.
  2. Start taking a probiotic.?Poor gut health and strained digestion can drain your energy, cause inflammation, and make it harder for your body to absorb nutrients. Coupling a probiotic with a multivitamin can help to boost your energy levels with a perfect 1 - 2 punch!
  3. Get outside daily.?Sunshine provides you with a major dose of Vitamin D, which helps with energy. Plus, it forces you away from your laptop and phone screens and artificial light. Aim for 10 - 15 minutes of sunshine a day.
  4. Drink Water BEFORE Coffee:?Hear me out...while it may be your morning habit to have coffee to "wake up" every morning, your body needs to be hydrated upon waking. Dehydration can cause low energy. Start to drink a glass of water before your morning coffee and you will see that you have even more energy in the morning.
  5. Eat more colors.?What you eat impacts your energy and if you think of food as fuel, the more colors you eat the more fuel your body will have. If you struggle to eat fruits and vegetables, drinking a smoothie daily packed with greens and fruit can be an easy way to get a good dose of dense nutrition.

Pick one of these and stick to it for the entire week and I bet you will feel like you have more pep in your step and have more energy to get more things done and to be more productive.?

Comment below and let me know what you will do to improve your energy this week!
