Got LastPass? Worried about the latest breach? (Wait, what breach?) 4 things to check

Worried about the latest hack? Here's 4 things to check.

1. Since a lot of PII was stolen, It is likely that plausible sounding phishing emails will attempt to steal your Master Password. Be very watchful and don’t click on any links from emails that look like they come from LastPass. You can visit their website and sign in directly if you need to.?

2. Review the strength of your master password. If it is 12 or more characters, contains upper and lower case, numbers and symbols then it is likely strong enough to resist your password vault being decrypted. (It is a good idea to have MFA, however it won’t help you in this context)

3. If your Master Password is weak. You should change first your master password then change all of the passwords. Whilst you are doing this, it would be a good idea to add MFA to any accounts you don’t yet have it turned on.?

4. If your Master Password is strong. You are probably fine, but it would be worth changing critical passwords such as Office 365, and key business applications. Plus your main social network sites and your bank.
