Got Common Sense?

Since I became aware of being a functioning adult, responsible, and with a sense of knowing two or three things about life, I learned that I am an unknown expert in common sense! How hard can it be? After five years in charge of the business development road map for a risk advisory firm out of London, I resigned, cause I wanted to stop traveling and be back home in Texas. I got two nephews I am missing their growing up, baseball, and of course Friday night lights. I decided to open up my resume and dust it off. I have not had a necessity of sending out a resume since the mid 1990's. So I did, I started twitching it, so it looks good according to the new standards, whatever that means. What I've done as a whole in the past twenty years is being in sales, sales development, training of sales personnel, merely and bluntly sales. Over the years the companies I have worked for, have tried to embellish the position with names such as advisor, consultant, bla bla bla bla. The honest truth I have always been quite comfortable with the simple sales name. I decided to start sending out some resumes to tome exciting positions that are catered here on LinkedIn. I should have known better, common sense should have helped me not even taking the interview, a true waste of my time. Why would someone portray a job position, as a management position for an experiences business development individual, adding to the fact that if you were bilingual a plus! This had a common sense ad all over the place saying this an insurance sales position, commission based, period. Don't get me wrong all of you comrades from the insurance world. I grew up and became a man, selling insurance. What really gets me is the fact that I did not use any of my common sense abilities to detect this was the intention. What I should have detected was the fact that the company is based in Chicago. No offense to the windy city, it is the city of my ancestors, my parents met there, I was conceived in Chicago, I went to school in the mid west, and some of my best friends are from Chicago. The thing is, I know a couple of companies here and there based in the windy city that like to play around like this, getting fools to sign up with them. If we all used some common sense we would all be in a different position. I guess we like to be lied to each other, or live in some fantasy world where to have common sense is absurd and outdated. I want to clarify one thing before I am done with this, this has been written by a human, not by some crappy artificial intelligence. This human considers himself an expert in the field of common sense. I am that human, my name is Rick Uriegas, and if you happen to be looking for a job, let me help you identify if the company advertising the job is for real or just a bunch of bull crap! Common Sense everyone! Follow me if you like what I write or have to say! I can be reached here through this platform. Please refrain from contact all those of you who consider yourselves forex and bitcoin experts, and those of you who do sales automation, that is a bunch of bull. Thanks! Happy to advice on common sense!
