Got acupuncture for 2 years in high school

It is true that there are only three years for high school students, whereas I was absent for more than two years for medical treatment.

What did I experience during the two years?

Mainly acupuncture. Very traditional Chinese treatment. My head, stomach, back, neck, arm, ankle, feet... I hadn't found that my body parts hadn't been experiencing acupuncture yet.

Wanna know which part felt most painful?

The tip of the nose. Because I got my tear automatically due to the stimulation on my nose.

It was much more painful than ''Fire acupuncture and moxibustion'' based on my feelings.

You might be shocked after you know what fire acupuncture is.

The practitioner burned the needle until it was red enough, and quickly did acupuncture on my head for seconds. Not only once...

My father: ''I'm scared to see that, how can you tolerate it?''

Me:''What can I do? any other ways that can help me get rid of the pain from my illness?''

My father stopped asking me. His facial expression was telling me that he felt the pain.

I met my practitioner every day.

He said you would be brilliant in the future because you have such strong perseverance to get treatment. Many patients gave up in the middle and they came back when they felt terrible again because of their symptoms.

Yes, I didn't give up. Any treatments related to acupuncture include moxa-moxibustion, fire acupuncture, cupping, and cupping cup (another type of needle pierces the skin and quickly makes cupping, the blood would come out from the skin but still in the cup ).

Fortunately, a two-year acupuncture experience was a strong lesson in my life.

It was a marathon that you may not know where the destination was.

Luckily, I got fully recovered.

No stomachache, no low blood pressure, no reflux esophagitis, no dizziness, no need to resist the food I want to eat...

It was a great lesson, wasn't it?

However, I did miss two-year studies. I tried hard to catch up in the last 6 months of high school.

My parents didn't have any expectations about whether I could go to university.

Finally, my exam score could make me go to a three-year college, two-year for study, and one year for internship. Well, they were already excited because at least I could go to a college.

My parents were worried about my future very much, so they chose air conditioning and heating for me as they thought it was a skill. If you acquired the skill, you could at least feed yourself. I wanted to choose English or Marketing but I got rejected. However, I'm studying MSc strategic marketing at Cardiff Uni now. Isn't it funny?

I accepted the truth they arranged for me.

My father: '' whatever you study, try your best, you can still stand out''

Me: ''Okay''

For this point, I was an excellent listener. I became the top student in my class. I started enjoying drawing blueprints, I kept asking questions to teachers to satisfy my curiosity. I went to Xi'an airport to observe the AC.

Yes, I did stand out.

My parents were so happy that I could start embracing life with curiosity and passion again.

No one could understand why I always want to do more, to work hard, to grab any opportunities in my career but my parents can.

The two-year treatment experience made me feel that life is so precious, and always.

We probably all experienced a tough time, but looking back, it was just a beauty of life.

Without the pain, we may not realize how strong or stronger we could challenge ourselves again.

Except for my study, I started different MVPs in my college to fulfil my desire of doing business.

Next chapter, I want to talk about it.
