Got 20 Minutes?

Got 20 Minutes?

1. This Week's Hot Tips:

Since this is the Quarter of Courage (my mantra for Q3), I have to assert another act of bravery... Go against the grain. As the sun basks in its full glory, it's tempting to slip into a slower rhythm, kick back, and let our businesses drift on autopilot.?

While others are heeding the siren call to enjoy the lazy days of Summer, I want to challenge you to carve out moments of quality work in spite of the season.

I’m not saying to be a work-acholic that doesn’t take any time off to enjoy these sunny days. I am saying you can still have a lot of fun AND move your business forward.

I've been reinspired by productivity guru Tim Ferriss, and his tips for thriving in a slower season resonate perfectly with our Quarter of Courage theme. So, let's muster the courage to apply these lessons:

  • Review and Recalibrate: Summer is often a quieter time in business, which makes it an ideal time to take a step back and reflect. Courageously question where your business is heading, re-evaluate your goals, and plan. Consider Tim Ferriss's key questions: "What would this look like if it were easy?" and "If I could only work 2 hours per week on my business, what would I do?" Bravely asking these tough questions will help clarify our priorities and streamline our actions.
  • What's your 20?: Our businesses are like ecosystems where certain elements (20%) significantly influence our outcomes (80%). Our courage comes into play when we step back, honestly identify these impactful elements, and focus on nurturing them.
  • Test and Iterate: This is the perfect season to muster the courage and explore the unfamiliar. Experiment with different marketing techniques, try out novel sales tactics or maybe create a unique product. Have fun, but measure your results.

Remember, productivity is not just about doing more, but about making the most of your time, focusing on the tasks that truly move the needle, and constantly iterating and improving your methods. Stay cool and productive this summer!

5. Ask Keita:

Q. Hello Keita!?I appreciate all your tips on being productive during the Summer. I have the opposite problem. I am slammed with new clients and lots of deliverables. I feel like I am missing out on the best part of the year because I am buried in work.

A.?Congrats on the growth! Without popping the hood on your business, I offer a couple of thoughts.

Be accountable to your calendar. One of my friends declared herself Chief Fun Officer this Summer. We have fun plans held in our calendars and we hold each other accountable to optimize for fun.

Delegate with grace. What’s the best and highest use of your time as the CEO? Identify those things that only you can do and begin to thoughtfully delegate other items. Grab some time with me to make this more actionable.

If you are a B2B consultant who is changing the world of work, my offer for a 20-minute solutions call still stands. You bring the challenge. I’ll bring the strategy.?Schedule your time here .
