Gosia Rdest – the only woman in the prestigious Alpine Elf Europa Cup racing series.

An Alpine A110 weighing just over a thousand kilograms, equipped with a 270-horsepower engine, will be Gosia Rdest’s car in the prestigious Alpine Elf Europa Cup. Gosia will race in all four rounds of the French series and will be the first Polish woman and the only woman taking part. The first race starts in August!

The Polish driver will not disappoint her fans. During an online press conference held at the end of April, Gosia Rdest announced her plans for the 2020 season. She confirmed her return to GT races and her participation in all four rounds of the Alpine Elf Europa Cup. Participants of this prestigious series race in specially designed Alpine A110 Cup cars. Gosia is well-acquainted with this car. At the end of last year, she made her debut in the cup on the Paul Ricard circuit.

The Alpine Elf Europa Cup 2020 consists of 4 rounds, three of which will take place in France and one in Portugal. Pre-season testing and the official start of the season will take place on August 22-23 in Nogaro. In September, Gosia Rdest and her rivals will compete in Magny-Cours, and a month later on the Paul Ricard circuit. Both tracks are well known to Formula 1 racing drivers. The last round will take place in Portimao at the turn of October and November.

- I am very happy that I could finally announce my plans for the 2020 season. Starting in the Alpine Cup will be a new challenge for me. I know the car well, I started in the last round of the cup on the Paul Ricard circuit last year. I expect tough competition and I hope to add new trophies to my collection. Tracks like Nogaro and Magny-Cours are new to me, but I know Paul Ricard and Portim?o well. I am grateful to the organisers for not cancelling any of the 10 races although the calendar has been shortened. I have a few months of preparation ahead of me before I am ready to do test drives and fight for first place in August – says Gosia Rdest.

Alpine Elf Europa Cup – A French GT racing cup, the first edition of which was held in 2018. Rounds take place mainly on the tracks of Western and Southern Europe. Gosia Rdest made her debut in this series in 2019 on the Paul Ricard circuit.

Alpine A110 Cup – the first GT racing car produced by Alpine in the 21st century. The car is based on a road model from which its 1.8-litre turbocharged engine comes from. Thanks to the air filter and modified exhaust, it has increased power to 270 horsepower.
