I have a time-saving shopping tip for you all this morning...it is my secret weapon for locating wardrobe items that you really need/want or that are difficult to find. I am certain that we have all searched for a specific wardrobe item and either didn't have the time or the energy to search for it and after countless trips to the mall, just gave up the search? Try Google! I think we are all quick to use Google for random searches...I mean, how many times have you Googled "what song is this?" but I bet you have never thought of using it for your fashion searches!!!
Google will provide you with shopping choices that will help you with your search by providing both brick and mortar AND website options. And while I can't promise that Googling your fashion need will guarantee you will be successful in locating it, it is a great place to start. And remember that just because Google says it is located at "Nordstrom" that doesn't mean that it is currently in stock but at least you now have a starting point. That random trip to the mall just became more focused because you now know who might have what you are in search of.
When inputing your Google search...be specific. A white blouse can be either short sleeved or long sleeved. It can be made of cotton, linen or silk. It can be a button up or a blouse. Be as descriptive in your Google search as possible so that it is narrowed to exactly what it is you are searching for.
I worked with a client recently who was in search of an "orange sheath dress" and if we had just inputed "orange dress" there would have been too many options to sort through. By inputing "orange sheath dress" we were able to narrow her options to exactly what style of dress she was searching for. And the best part of this story is that the one she chose to purchase was from Amazon...so this was a TRIPLE WIN for my client...we located the dress AND she was able to purchase it without a trip to the mall!!! AND she found a new shopping resource because she had never purchased apparel on Amazon before!
Pro Tip:?Using Google to search for your wardrobe needs will also expose you to shopping websites and options that you never knew existed and get you out of your "shopping comfort zone." There is a whole wide world of fashion on the internet waiting for you to discover it.
