Google's new Deep Dive is a peek into the future of human-centered marketing.
The Wall Street Journal's recent breathless article about Deep Dive piqued my curiosity. Using this new tool from Google allows you to make a podcast about any topic.
Although Deep Dive is still experimental, just one interaction suggests this will have a far-reaching impact on media and entertainment, as also marketing.
My two tests: Business vs Poetry
I have run two tests so far. And each time I have been blow away.
In the first test I uploaded into Notebook LM the four-page manifesto for Rehumanize. The "podcast hosts" created an engaging podcast discussing the Rehumanize Growth System in the context of the power of empathy in daily life, while also weaving in the system's key selling points. I was stunned. (Click to listen.)
The "hosts" speak the same way we do, including our very human "ums" and "you know?" and "totally." They tap adjacent topics that weren't in the manifesto, but were definitely part of my thought-process when I designed Rehumanize. They also cite real life examples (that I did not provide) to make the show more conversational...and human.

Sure...but can it handle poetry?
The "podcast hosts" delivered a flawless discussion of the poem, drawing meaning from specific words and with no prompt whatsoever identified and discussed the poem's emotional turn. Again, stunned. (Click to listen.)
As I alway say, the premise of Rehumanize is not anti-tech. Far from it. It is about data and technology enabling a human-centered go-to-market system that helps marketers better serve the customer on the other side of the screen.
Deep Dive illustrates our ability to design and deliver more human-centered digital experiences.
Please don't take my word for it, nor those of the AI "hosts", go play for yourself. Be ready to be stunned.
