1. SynthID: Google's Solution for Watermarking AI-Generated Text

Google DeepMind's SynthID technology aims to tackle misinformation and misattribution by watermarking AI-generated text, images, audio, and video. Now available through Hugging Face, SynthID Text embeds unique, undetectable watermarks, allowing for easy identification of AI-generated content without sacrificing quality. The watermarking process involves a logits processor that marks text post-generation, and a Bayesian detector to verify content as watermarked, unwatermarked, or uncertain.

2. Sarvam AI Launches Multilingual Model for Indic Languages

Sarvam AI has introduced Sarvam 1, an open-source language model trained on 11 Indic languages, including Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Built with 2 billion parameters on Nvidia GPUs, it uses a unique tokeniser and a dataset enriched with Hindi, English, and code, making it highly efficient for multilingual tasks.

3. Infosys Unveils Specialized AI Models for Banking and IT Operations

Infosys has unveiled two specialized small language models—Topaz BankingSLM for banking and Topaz ITOpsSLM for IT operations—built on the NVIDIA AI Stack. These models leverage general and industry-specific data, fine-tuned with Infosys’ proprietary data, to enhance applications in banking and IT services. Read more


4. Apple Debuts Generative AI Features

Apple has launched its first set of generative AI features called "Apple Intelligence," which includes Writing Tools for text manipulation across apps, enhanced Photos search with natural language capabilities, and improved Siri integration, with more features planned for December.
