This is the third Presidential Election in a row that Donald Trump is running in and it never fails to disappoint in terms of crazy stories.
The latest is that Donald Trump doesn't like what he sees when he googles himself. According to him, the search results unfairly favor Kamala Harris and display negative stories about him. As such, if elected he would tell the justice department to pursue criminal charges against Google.
Google defended itself by talking about the candidates websites.
Both campaign websites consistently appear at the top of Search for relevant and common search queries
What Trump doesn't appreciate and Google doesn't want to get into is that Google is just displaying the results that the various news sites have written and most of these sites lean left.
But it's more than that.
In this day and age of clickbait, those who write the headlines write headlines that are designed to be clicked on which is why you see such provactive headlines.
No doubt, the headlines for Kamala Harris are a lot softer
These ideological issues trickle into Wikipedia where there are further claims of bias against Republicans.

The term Fake News became very popular during the 2016 Election campaign and has it's own Wikipedia page.
And yes, there is a section about his misuse of the term
Not that newspapers having a certain bias is a new thing - it's not. But pre-internet, you knew where you stood with them and would take their copy with a grain of salt. Now it's a complete free for all.
Worst of all, there really aren't any winners from this.
New sites are dying because no one trusts them. They will become more reliant on using AI for news which will make things even worse.
Where will be able to get news we can trust from?
