No, it wasn't the apocalypse—just a massive outage courtesy of our friendly cybersecurity giant, CrowdStrike.
CrowdStrike, the digital superhero that's been saving us from hackers since 2011, accidentally tripped over its own cape last Friday.

CrowdStrike's CEO, George Kurtz, assured everyone that this was not a cyberattack (phew).
While CrowdStrike did roll out a fix, it’s not as easy as hitting ‘restart’.
Cybersecurity expert Lukasz Olejnik warns that this could take "days to weeks" to fully resolve. IT teams might need to physically resuscitate each affected device, making this a long, tedious recovery.
I guess that means a lot of us are going back to the traditional ways of pen and paper for a little while.
See you tomorrow!
