Google Tasks is now its own website

At the end of 2023, Google Calendar gained a fullscreen Tasks interface on the web. That experience is now available as a standalone Google Tasks website.?

This is reported by 9to5.

Previously, you could access Tasks on the web directly through calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/r/tasks instead of using the top-right corner switcher. There was also Google Tasks in the Workspace sidebar of Gmail, Drive, Docs, and other apps.?

Tasks.google.com is now available without a redirect to Google Calendar and the exact same UI save for the Tasks logo in the top-left corner. Your Lists appear as side-by-side cards that can be rearranged.

There’s a navigation drawer, which can be hidden, to switch between All Tasks and Starred. You can also hide individual lists and create new ones that sync to the mobile apps.?

This website follows your device’s system dark theme and does not provide manual control like calendar.google.com.?

From what we can tell, this standalone Google Tasks website launched in recent weeks (after late January). Google will presumably maintain both experiences going forward, like on Android with the standalone app and integrated Calendar experience (which has not yet arrived on iOS).
