The Google ruling – what comes next? ????

The news around Google continues into August as a US judge rules that the giant created an illegal monopoly with its search engine business. No one is anymore surprised by the ruling than we were by last month's news about Google going back on it's decision to sunset third-party cookies.

But as well a buzz of curiosity around how this case will effect the adtech space moving forwards, industry leaders have been raising some questions as to why Google dominates, and what makes it such a preferable search experience. After all, it's one many other search engines are trying to mimic. After all, Google has become synonymous with search. Who hasn't used the phrase 'I'll just Google it'?
