Google Glass Is Set To Have A Successful Revival, It Appears The iPhone Will Have Built-in AR, and More In AR/VR This Week
GOOGLE GLASS IS BACK!
The first version of Google Glass was too good to be true, literally. The recently released second edition, however, seems much closer to, dare I say, practical. The revival is finding a place in the enterprise world, helping skilled workers perform tricky jobs. While Glass 2.0 may have found a home in professional world, it still holds great appeal on the consumer level.
However, that is not Google’s focus at the moment, and to be honest it shouldn’t be. Several companies have already indicated that the first version never really left the enterprise, meaning that the latest version should be able to offer these companies a great deal in the years to come. #GoogleGlass

WILL THE NEW IPHONE HAVE AR?
Apple has stolen the majority of the AR headlines lately with its ARKit, and the leak that the new iPhone 8 will support AR should have tech journalists everywhere excited. This signature feature could potentially be another game changer for Apple and AR, using something called a VCSEL laser system that sounds kind of like sonar (but with lasers). Sounds cool, and the potential for consumers and businesses are seemingly endless.
With this recent development, the question remains: Will AR on the iPhone leave Android in the dust? #ARKit
