Google Core Web Vitals : Boost Speed, UX & SEO

Google uses a set of metrics to measure a web page’s loading speed, interactivity and visual stability, which is known as Core Web Vitals. It determines how good the user experience is on a site, which directly impacts its search engine rankings (SEO) by prioritizing the pages which have better user experience. Core Web Vitals are important because it helps a web page ranking in the search results which impacts the website traffic and the business overall.?

Core Web Vitals Metrics :?

  1. Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) : LCP measures how quickly the largest visible content element on a page loads, indicating initial loading speed. To provide a good user experience, LCP should occur within 2.5 seconds of the first page loading.
  2. Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) : CLS measures how much the layout of a page shifts unexpectedly as it loads, affecting the visual stability. To provide a good user experience, a web page should maintain a CLS of 0.1 or less.?
  3. Interaction To Next Paint (INP) : INP measures the time taken by a web page to respond to the user interaction (like clicking a button) after they first interact with it, measuring the responsiveness. To provide a good user experience, a web page should have an INP of 200 milliseconds or less.?
