Hello MachineHackers,
I sincerely wish all MachineHackers are sticking to their New Year’s Resolutions and are not losing hope. Talking of hope, we had a data scientist from the community last week who had a model training for 36 hours after which his machine failed. For data scientists like our dear friend and our whole community we have something special lined up.
Highlights From MachineHack Universe
At MachineHack, we are happy to report that we are doing well on our new year promises. As promised last week, MachineHack has an?awesome dark mode now. Login and check out now. Right from our partners, to internal evaluators to early users are absolutely loving the experience and we are more than happy to see the positive response. Just to be sure, you can always go back to light mode by clicking on the change mode button in the right hand corner.?
As you know, we are super excited to be a part of the Machine Learning Developer Summit this year. To meet MachineHack at MLDS 2023,?buy tickets here.?At MLDS, we are planning amazing activities and here is a sneak peek:
To know more about these competitions and win crazy competitions, meet us at MLDS.?
As discussed last week, we have a working version of a new anti-cheating measure for ML competitions. You will see it in action in a competition we will be doing with a legendary institution.?
Talking about legendary institutions, breaking the suspense for everyone. MachineHack is collaborating with Google Cloud for one of a kind competition. Get ready to solve a challenging DS problem?using BigQuery and Colab.?
For this Hackathon, you will be working on obfuscated and anonymized real-world data (~ 4.2 million records) from an e-commerce website to build a model that can predict customers' Long Term Value (LTV). This challenge has all the exciting elements of complex data engineering, preprocessing, model building, and different programming languages (SQL & Python) that simulate real-world problem-solving. The dataset is a public fork of the BigQuery Ga4 Public Datasets, customized for the hackathon.?
