Google Chrome to Block Sites Not Converted to https!
If you haven't converted your website to https, you may see a significant drop off in traffic now that it is October.
Google has announced that, beginning in October, it will begin showing risk warning notice pages when customers using Google Chrome attempt to access a website that is still on the less secure http protocol instead of https. The risk warning will be posted on all websites that the consumer can interact with. So, if you have a search function or a Contact Us form, your site is included. You can read more about this on my blog post on the Purplegator website.
With Google Chrome supporting 45% of all web browser access, I'm afraid that you really have no choice in making the move to https or you will see a significant decrease in web traffic.
