Showcase your products before people visit your website ???
When you take advantage of the Products feature in Google Business Profile, you eliminate barriers between customers connecting with your products, saving them steps and improving the user experience.
As an agency owner, many business owners ask me how they can improve their digital experience. I learned more often than not that businesses don't take advantage of what profiles like Google Business Profile can do for their business.
Google Business Profile enables businesses to list their product category, name, description, image, price and link to their products.
Think about how you'd feel if you could find a product faster without orienting to new sites, searching their product catalog, calling the business, or visiting them in person. It's easy to see how this feature can enhance an existing customer and prospective customer's experience with your business.
If you aren't using Products on your Google Business Profile, I recommend that you give it a try.?
It takes 4.5 simple steps to start, and you can do this in minutes.
1 - Start with outlining your Product Categories and Products.
If you are a farm stand like Shady Brook Farm you might want to highlight the produce you sell, decorations, homemade jams, bakery items, etc. If you are a plumber, you might want to consider adding things like 24/7 emergency Plumbing services, Clear Clogged Drain, Install new toilet, and Bathroom Renovations.
Determine the appropriate categories. Categories are the grouping of your products. For example, if you have a farm stand and sell cider donuts, pastry and cakes you might create a category called Bakery. If you aren't close to the products for your business, talk to your leadership and start with the top sold and requested products.
2 - Add the Product Category and First Product?
Once you've collected your Product Categories and Products you can add them in Google Business Profile. Be sure to complete the form completely. You don't need to add prices if your prices fluctuate too much or if you need to comply with MAP rules. When writing your description, if you can add some keywords, do it - but keep it natural, and don't go crazy. You're writing for people, not bots or search engines. Your answers should be able to stand on their own.
3 - Add a photo showcasing your product
Photos should be 1:1 - Square aspect ratio and at minimum 1080x1080 pixels. Name the photo the name of your product when possible. For example, cider-donuts.jpg.

4 - Add a link directly to your product
A visitor's mental model tells them that clicking on the product will take them right to the product. Help customers get direct to your product by deep linking to the exact product you are adding to Google Business Profile. Don't link to landing pages or other category pages.
.5 - Be mindful of spelling, punctuation and remove jargon where possible.?
