Why Google Analytics is vital to digital marketers

Today, it's crucial for Digital marketers to be comfortable with Google analytics because utilizing these tools, marketers can better understand their audience, how the audience is interacting on the websites, and monitor their online marketing strategies' effectiveness. Using google analytics, digital marketers can see if the marketing campaigns bring costumers onto the sites and find ways to create a more robust future method. With more business moving into the online setting and nearly 30 million live websites using Google Analytics, understanding Google Analytics has become a vital tool for marketers to help businesses attract more customers and help a business succeed. 

What courses does Google analytics have?

Google analytics for beginner's course features the basic understanding of how to implement tracking codes, set up views and filters, read necessary reports, and start tracking customers' traffic that comes onto the sites. In the beginner's course, users will mostly learn preprogrammed features that should be simpler to understand. With Google Analytics, advanced course users will learn how to customize the tools and the data collected to develop a more decisive marketing campaign. The advanced course users will learn how to collect data, analyze the data by channels, and configuration like custom metrics. This course will also instruct users on creating channel reports, audience reports, and even custom reports according to businesses' specific needs.

Navigating through the demo account from Google Analytics, most of the traffic on the site comes from the United States, with 4,150 new users just from the US. The audience views five pages per session, with the average session being over 3 minutes. A more extended session indicates that the audience is engaged on the site. The pages that the audience spends the most time on are the home page and the store itself. The channel that drives the most traffic for the Google merchandise store is organic search, meaning users are coming from search engines. When the audience is coming from an organic channel, this indicates that these are unpaid search results. The search engine that the audience is using the most is Google.

As a business marketing student striving to find a career in digital marketing, I believe that Google Analytics is a skill set that will help boost my marketing career. Being proficient in Google Analytics is something I strive to be at, knowing that this skill will help uncover areas where I'm doing great as a digital marketer or find areas that need improvement.
