New shopping format
When I was searching for more documentation on Buy on Google, I found these big Shopping Ads that only showed three ads. Later I could not reproduce these results. So it might be a test.

New YouTube feature
Alex Walser ???found this new YouTube feature. This feature is in Beta and is called Video enhancements. With this new feature, you can allow Google to resize your video.
Google Analytics illegal in Sweden?
The regulator in Sweden found that the supplementary measures applied by Google to European users’ data sent to the U.S. for processing were insufficient.
They have now issued a couple of fines. In addition, the regulator is urging firms to stop using Google’s web statistics too(source).
New closed beta feature
Bjorn Verbrugghe?posted this morning about a new beta feature called cross-media report. With cross-media reports, you can measure tv and digital!
You can also combine the reach and frequency of multiple campaigns and you can see the reach based on gender and age.

David Zouzout?got this email that the remaining Smart Shopping campaigns are upgrading to Performance Max starting September 2023!
New in Ads Gen Z Music Lineup
Google has now officially released Gen Z music Lineup. With this lineup, advertisers can ensure that their brand shows up near media that uses the music this cohort has on repeat.
Changes in keyword validation
Google is going to make changes in keyword validation which can cause an increase in keyword policy violation failures.
Update help center pages and legal requirement policy
Google sent this email telling advertisers that they changed the Google Ads help Center pages in June.
Now in August, Google is going to update the Legal Requirements policy. This policy update removes all country-specific examples from the Legal Requirements policy help center page.
Testing the deprecation of third-party cookies
Google will keep testing the deprecation of third-party cookies for 1% of users!
Ads API change
On August 2, 2023, Google will start auto-migrating image and location extensions to assets in the Ads API.
Roll-out automated discounts
Emmanuel Flossie?found out that Google Merchant Center is rolling out the old beta feature named automated discounts(more information)!
Google Local Service Ads update
Ben Fisher?found out that when you make edits to your Local Service Ads, those updates will also update your Google Business Profile!
New Pmax option
Alfred Simon?found this new Pmax option for his signals. You can now use Search Themes!
Update Healthcare and Medicines policy
In August 2023, Google will update the Healthcare and medicines policy for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
With this change, advertisers can advertise over-the-counter medications.
For Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand: Google allows pharmaceutical manufacturers to promote over-the-counter medicines in accordance with local law.
For Vietnam: Google allows pharmaceutical manufacturers that are certified by LegitScript to promote over-the-counter medicines in accordance with local law.
All advertisers must be certified with Google(more information).
