Update Shopping and free listing policy

Google announced that they have updated the shopping and free listing policy.

In addition, they also launched more information about YouTube and Discovery Ads requirements(source).

Campaign criterion simulations

Campaign criterion simulations are being removed in the Google Ads API (source).

Merchant Center Classic or Merchant Center Next

Google is now letting advertisers know if an article is written for Merchant Center Classic or Merchant Center Next.

Keyword Planner update

Thomas Eccel?found out that there are new features for the keyword planner called "New forecast views" and "Grouped ideas are now Keyword Ideas"(source).

Pre-selected option Ads account

Watch out! If you create a Google Ads account, in preferences there is a pre-selected option saying:

"Suggested ads are automatically applied to your campaigns after 7 days"(source).

Google Local Service Ads Mass Policy Violation

Google has sent a mass policy violation to advertisers. It is unclear if this is a bug or some sort of new enforcement (source).

Pmax brand exclusion live

Geert Groot?found the new Pmax brand exclusion list in his account looks like this feature is slowly rolling out(source)!

Pmax feed-only bug fixed

The Pmax feed-only bug is resolved in the Google Ads UI!

Update Healthcare & medicines policy

In June 2023, the Google Ads?Healthcare & Medicines policy?will be updated.

With this update, Google will clarify restrictions around prescription animal medications that are not prone to human abuse or other misuse(source).

First June update for GA4

The business objectives collection has already been around for a while, but Google announced it officially on June 1.

This new collection provides a tailored set of reports based on information you provide when you set up Google Analytics 4.

The reports are not really new it’s just a new way to organize existing reports.

You can change the reports available in the Reports module.

For existing properties: you can add topics from the new collection in your report library.

If this report collection is not visible then:

- navigate to library

- search business objectives data card under collections

- right-click on the three dots menu at the top right corner of the data card.

- click on publish(source).
