Some challenges of the week .....
What to do when a client goes out to tender or purchases a planting scheme without maintenance or who requests a long term rental for a large scale artificial installation?
Firstly, dealing with client tenders can be tough, especially when you've had a long-standing relationship. But by highlighting the wins you've achieved during your years of working together and suggesting innovative ways to add value to the contract, you can increase your chances of winning the tender. Reaching out to technology partners within the field is worthwhile while focusing efforts on creating a more sustainable business in line with client objectives is essential.?

Clients can purchase a readymade office plantscape (living, artificial, moss) ?as part of a design fit out scheme. It′s important to follow up quickly with a contact onsite to establish a smooth maintenance routine as the client may reach out to another vendor or appoint a staff member to look after the living plants themselves. Once in touch, you may need to provide guidance or complimentary maintenance at the beginning to show that the ?best care is always your expert care. Interior living landscaping is mostly on a rental & maintenance basis as this offers the better service and flexibility.
Finally, renting artificial is more under the umbrella of event companies but there are some clients especially in the hospitality industry who are exploring the idea of renting long term large scale interior artificial schemes, usually in the form of ceiling planting as a refresh to an open space. It′s important to note that this is a big undertaking and requires site logistical visits to assess the scale of the project. It's also important to use fire-rated artificial plants and at height personnel would require full PPE to include harnesses. Agreeing terms and conditions in advance is a must but with the right contract and team skills, taking on a large project can be an exciting challenge and a great way to show off your expertise.
