Goodbye to My Soul's Heart

Surely there is an answer as to why I fell for you
And even with heartache gone I wish no one new?
Rare it is that I even find someone who to you compares
And all those ladies in my future will be false-love affairs.
"How can I be so sure of this?" I know you would ask?
If only I could only answer in words fit for such a task.
I do not wish to share with you the hollowness of heart
The sensation of being so lost, you must remain apart.
How when those all about feel joy, all you can feel is pain
So, once more you force that smile you use and use again.
All I bring to you is anger, memories you would rather forget.
Your mind crafting words that cause even demons dark regret.
And yes, I would rather never go and you wish for me to stay
But we both now live in misery, self loathing now holds sway.
Appreciate I leave with you the soul of my life to fade and die,
For to end a stalemate of two hearts, one heart must say goodbye.
