Goodbye Facebook!
Saying "Goodbye!" can be the first step to a happier life! ~ Regina Carey

Goodbye Facebook!

“Your inner growth is completely dependent upon the realization that the only way to find peace and contentment is to stop thinking about yourself.” ~ Michael A. Singer ?

Today, I'm sharing something deeply personal—a decision that has been a long time coming, yet one that fills me with a mix of apprehension and liberation. It's time to bid farewell to Facebook.

For years, I've struggled with the paradox of social media—the beauty of connection and the weight of comparison, the vulnerability of sharing and the erosion of privacy. I've come to realize that Facebook, for all its benefits, often serves as a breeding ground for disconnection and disengagement from our true selves.

As I reflect on the values that currently guide my life—health and leadership—I find that I am happier and healthier when I pay attention to the humans and animals right in front of me. My true leadership skills cannot be fully developed if I'm watching what everyone else is doing day in and day out.

So, here's to a Facebook-free future filled with real connections, genuine conversations, and maybe even a little extra sunshine (because lets face it, Facebook's algorithm can't compete with Mother Nature's beauty).

I say thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the lessons learned. But it's time for me to walk away—to rise strong, to embrace my power, and to forge deeper connections in the spaces that matter most. (In the meantime, please connect with me on LinkedIn or send me a personal note. Thank you!)

CHALLENGE: Listen. Really listen to the rest of the sentence you keep saying to yourself, "I should really..." Do it. Stop wanting to do it. Do the thing. DO THE THING! The time is now.

Make it a strong day! ??????

Good for you! I am often frustrated by the plethora of ads and "suggested for you" posts on FB but at this point it is a large part of my business so I'll be sticking with it until I can find a platform better suited to the way I need to run my business.

Great reminder to listen to our guts! I've been feeling the same way about Instagram lately which is why I've moved across to explore LinkedIn and already feeling so much relief. I think it's so important in business that we show up in ways that really feed our energy rather than forcing what we think we 'should' be doing.

Glad I am not alone Regina Carey, M.Ed. - while we still have a platform, I don't engage on "Fakebook" because not only is the discourse harmful to my mental health, but I don't see any value in being on the platform.
