Goodbye to Christmas Ceremony
If you’re familiar with the twelve days of Christmas then you’ll know that it’s all about to come to a close tomorrow, the 6th of January. If you’re festive, a foodie or just really love mulled wine, this can be a difficult period for you. For that reason, today, we’re talking about how you can have one last Christmas-related bash!
The Geffrye Museum in Hoxton, famous for exploring the history of the home, are hosting their annual event: Farewell to Christmas tomorrow night from 3.30-5.00pm. You can expect a crowd of other festive revelers, keen to pay their respects to Christmas. There will be the traditional ceremony of burning the holly and ivy, some carol singing, stories of Epiphany and, best of all, mulled wine and Twelfth Night cake! Give yourself a last little taste of the season and be there – but be sure to wrap up warm because you’ll be outdoors!
You can also prolong the inevitable by visiting a number of Christmas activity spots that are still open! Winter Wonderland might be closed but the fun of fairs and ice skating continues at some locations for as long as another two months! See Canary Wharf’s ice rink or Broadgate Circle from now until mid-February to get your fix before spring comes!
