Goodbye Ash Anna

Goodbye Ash Anna

When we think of Indian cricket, Ravi Ashwin’s name shines brightly as one of the biggest match winner . As he announces his retirement, fans and teammates alike are celebrating a journey that redefined spin bowling and brought countless memorable moments. "Goodbye Ash Anna" is more than a farewell; it’s a heartfelt tribute to an extraordinary career.

The Spin Genius:

Interestingly, Ashwin began as an opening batsman before fate turned him into the spin wizard we know today. Known as a "thinking bowler," always one step ahead of the batsmen. His carrom ball and his range of tricks made him one of the most challenging bowlers to face. Over the years, he mastered variations like the off-break, slider, and even the occasional leg-break.

Labeled as white bowl baller in the start of his career, it was His Test career which made him a household name across India and a force to reckon in Indian bowling. With 537 test wickets, he’s among India’s all-time best bowlers and only 2nd to Anil Kumble in terms of highest wicket taker.

More Than a Bowler:

Ashwin wasn’t just a bowler; he was an all-rounder who could rescue the team with the bat. He has Six Test centuries to his name and several match-saving innings. Who could forget the 2021 Sydney Test, where he batted through pain alongside Hanuma Vihari to secure a draw? That innings symbolised his grit and determination.

In limited-overs cricket, Ashwin played a vital role in India’s 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy victories. Though his white-ball career had its ups and downs, he always delivered when the team needed him most.

A Leader and Mentor :

Ashwin’s impact wasn’t limited to his performances. He was a leader, a strategist, and a mentor to young spinners. Always vocal about the game’s nuances, he shared his insights with teammates and fans alike. Players like Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav have often credited Ashwin for his guidance.

On and off the field, Ashwin’s sharp cricketing brain and innovative approach made him stand out. He took pride in mentoring the next generation and ensuring that Indian spin bowling remained in safe hands.

A Legacy That Lives On:

Ravi Ashwin’s journey is more than just numbers and records. It’s a story of hard work, innovation, and passion for cricket. From the streets of Chennai to becoming one of the best cricketers in the world, Ashwin’s career is an inspiration to all.

As we say "Goodbye Ash Anna," we’re not just bidding farewell to a cricketer but celebrating a legend. Thank you, Ashwin, for the unforgettable moments and the legacy you leave behind. You’ll forever remain in our hearts as one of the greatest to play the game.

In the End i will leave you with some of the highlights of his sparkling International Career and a image of his call logs which is enough to show what this legend has truly achieved.

Ashwin is truly a match winner,Whenever the team needs ,he is up there. From saving a match in Sydney to secure a crucial win against Bangladesh on a tricky pitch. Not to forget his hundred on his home ground against England when India was behind in series 0-1. All these batting performances came in his late career when he was not in prime batting form that only explains how determined and was always ready to give for his team. His partnership with jaduu at home makes a formidable pair who run riot in opposition. He cricketing knowledge & street smartness makes him genius, whether it was leaving the final ball going down the leg side in Melbourne or mankading jos Buttler in IPL. I will always remember him as a true match winner.Good Bye Ashwin Anna ,will miss you on the field
