GoodBye 2023!

New Year is a reminder that TIME is a fleeting and yet the most precious thing that we have. Each day is an opportunity to create, to connect, to wonder about the world and one self. While 2023 gave me many opportunities to grow, there are a few that stand out!

1. With the opportunity to take over a new group #ContentTechnology and lead us to do our best, I have grown to be even more humble leader built with humility and confidence. Grateful to my Team and Colleagues who have been part of my journey this year. The most exciting piece is how we @ Thomson Reuters are off to transforming the experience for the professionals across legal, tax, risk and news media industries with #GenerativeAI technology leveraging our world class content.
2. Through all the public speaking opportunities, I learnt to tell the story better and inspire (which is still a work in progress like myself). Thank you to those that gave me the opportunities and to those that tuned in!
3. As a mother, it has been an overwhelming experience this year to transition my son to the University Residence, and learn one of the life’s lesson that is well said by Kahlil Gibran that - “Your children are not your children. They are sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you And though they are with you yet they belong not to you .. “ And, Shrihan Ala - I may not say this enough but we are very proud of the kind of an individual you have become. The best is yet to come from you to the World, and know that Dad and I are always amongst your roaring exuberant cheering crowd.
4. I also had this incredible opportunity to travel to India with both my kids after six years and seeing them reconnect with their roots warmed my heart. Grateful for my parents and extended family for taking part in shaping those memories.
5. Last but not least, reconnecting with my engineering friends and staff after 25 years through the Silver Jubilee Celebrations organized by K L University for the batch of 1998 is a life experience at another level filled with gratitude and joy. Thank you to my dear friends for those few days where we wandered like before and to have experienced pure joy!!

New Year is also an acknowledgment that the journey of life is an ever-unfolding story and Krishna Ala grateful that we get to navigate it together!

Lastly - Here is a little something that recently resonated with me deeply that I would like to share!

Every bend in the road,

Could be the end of the road,

Or the beginning of a new one,

It's entirely how you see it,

Some days you wallow, Mourning the end,

Some days you look up, To see the silver lining,

Lighting up the bend, And you seek your light, Jaded, sometimes cynical,

But still within you,

Waiting to shine on the world,

In a way of your choosing,

As you go within, To seek strength,

That's sometimes elusive...
