Goobye 2020! You won’t be missed.

It's New Years Eve and 2020 and 2021 met up at a bar. 2020 said, "I reckon I've caused the most chaos a year could create" to which 2021 replied, "You think, ok here hold my drink."

Eight days into 2021 and all ready Capitol hill has been overrun by disgruntled election deniers, but let’s not allow it to dampen our optimism for 2021  

2020 is dead, buried, and cremated, and good riddance to it. We look to 2021 with measured optimism and ask: What will 2021 bring? When will we all get vaccinated? Will life return to how it was in the good old days of 2019? 

Look at how the year changed how we work, how we exercise, shop and socialise. We now have a whole new vocabulary: Zoom meetings, social distancing, self-isolating, flattening the curve, PPE, infodemic, cluster, contact tracing, new normal, Covid-safe plan and Click and collect.

For Vivad, the pandemic has changed the mix of our product offering. Floor graphics, café barriers, masks, corflute and social distancing signs are definitely in. Decor for exhibitions, festivals and events: not so much.

Just like so many others, we have been pivoting all over the place, throwing darts at Ansoff’s matrix; selling old products into new markets and new products into old markets. It has been an interesting time.

Online ordering has sprung up all over the place as companies are doing more business online, and our web-to-print portal; Vivtrack has been going gangbusters!

Why it took a pandemic to got them started on this I might never know!

Maybe they liked to talk to humans. Fair enough! We’re pretty friendly.
