Goodbye 2017
For me, saying goodbye to 2017 is a
relief
Of course it's just another day or year
or a date in the calendar but it's also
a time of reflection, giving you closure
on the year before and making plans
for the next year to be better
If you've followed me for years you
will know I'm not a fan of new year
resolutions or the whole 'new year
new you'
Mainly because you tend to make the
same half @rsed promises to yourself
that sound good, like a wish list, when
you have no intention of putting the
work in to make them happen
All year round
'I'm going to give up cakes'
'I'm going to the gym every day'
'I'm starting a new diet'
Last year I wanted to be more consistent
and I didn't achieve that but I had other
more important things to deal with and
I'm ready to share
My real goals for 2017 were...
Strike off my company Tangerine13
Set up my new company Fit Strong Females
File for bankruptcy (personally)
Give up smoking
Give up chocolate
Get my mental health back
They weren't easy and couldn't be done
overnight, it took a lot of work for each
of them and I was still dealing with a
breakdown from 2016
I also felt like a failure for most of the
year and ashamed but I've made peace
with it all now and that's why I'm saying
goodbye to 2017 with a lot of relief
I also managed to complete the above
and while I don't feel any kind of pride
I'm pleased I've gone through it and I'm
now on the other side
Some of you will have similar stories
Dealing with cancer
Divorce and break up of relationships
Death of friends or relatives
Losing your job
Losing your mind
These are the real challenges we face in life
Losing weight, toning up and looking
fabulous is also important and of course
that's the business I'm in and can help you
but I'll be asking my clients to dig deep to
focus on what they really want in 2018
Want to know mine? It's ambitious
Studio at full capacity
Pondering a franchise option
1,000 paid members to online site
Publish ten novels I've written
Publish three fitness books
Publish a series of childrens books
Become a fitness model in my late 40's
I feel a little weird saying it out loud and in
public, it's even a bit scary but having got
through last year, I can get through this
What I want to know from you is, what
struggles did you face in 2017 and what
your hopes are for 2018
Is 2018 going to be your year? What will
you be doing differently, do you have a
plan?
I'm genuinely interested so let me know!
Carolyne
