It was good while it lasted...

It’s the end of the world as we know it and I don’t mean Brexit - I’m talking government subsidizes solar.
Over the last few years the subsidy has been hacked into repeatedly but never completely stopped before.
It was fun while it lasted - I’ve been in the rise and fall of this industry, seen companies surf the tide of incredibly well funded projects and met 100’s of people and business that invested at the early adopter stage and have massively reaped the rewards and still will be for the next 20 years.
My goal going forward is to keep solar power affordable.
Only yesterday we looked at a manufacturing plant that on savings alone would save over 1 million pounds.
“We are spending the money anyway†is the resounding comments in meetings and across the board rooms of clients.
We have investors that are still willing to install on your business for free and will sell you the energy generated for around 40-50% cheaper than your current grid costs. This is called a Power Purchase Agreement, and you can read more about it here -
The futurist in me says…
Why are surge protectors coming in as a regulation? Maybe because the people that make the power nationally can see the day when electric vehicles are at every house and place of work ...we know we are going to get “brown outs “where the grid goes out side of its perimeters (I’ll do an article on grid stability soon)
When the feed in tariff goes, I’ll still be installing – And I will continue the race to a Carbon Free Economy.

6 å¹´Nice work Justin, the end of the tariff is not the end of the world as you say, as energy prices continue to rise Solar becomes even more attractive.?
