Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Funding startups is risky by its nature .The silicon valley funds taught VCs . Save and except Mr Sabit Bahtia hot mail and a few more most are not worth remembering. Due diligence of receivers startups , has tremendous responsibilities to funders . This is slippery area .india has achieved credibility after a very long struggle to get a name among reliable nations, where your capital will grow . If receivers are not able to give returns as promised, funds will dry up affecting the deserving ones . Grab funds and scoot ,fly by night operators will vanish,become nps to vcs. This could start a crisis of credibility of a nation .

Good for those getting high start-up salaries and maybe the investors seeking to see quick results in a short time frame. Very bad for start-ups that are looking at doing things that are doing things that require more patience. Consumer tech is where most investment is going, not necessarily the most promising tech start-ups in the long term. And finally, some one will have to pay for this party and clean up the mess after too many consumer tech start-ups fail!!

I think the perception is GTM in minimum time. For that, everything is compromised, the idea, the validation, patience to get the product right. Media highlights how companies got funded within 6-12 months of starting and the startups are also being formed with the mindset.

Most of the startups lack depth in management . An idea or a concept without the ability to execute and build successful teams /environments will not succeed.

Not very good; yes they are hiring some exceptional minds who would want high dollar packages, but at the broad level I don't see quality for the monies dished out.
