Good Teachers Take It Step By Step

From today’s reading...

“Peter began and explained it to them step by step,...”

Shepherds feed their flocks.

Teachers instruct their students.

We read about Peter today in Acts 11.

As we scroll down we read about the Good Shepherd in John 10 doing the same thing.

“Although Jesus used this figure of speech,

they did not realize what he was trying to tell them.

So Jesus said again,...”

When the student is confused, a loving teacher explains.

On Saturday, when there was grumbling—but no confusion—Jesus did not clarify Himself in John 6 because there was no need. The crowds heard Him and understood what He was saying. They just wanted something easier to believe in and follow.

Believe in the difficult things and “enter a sheepfold through the gate” because anyone who “climbs over elsewhere is a thief and a robber.”
