Good Success Needs Foundation

There are different types of success. But today we are talking about good success. There are success that is for a short time, there is a type of success that falls down because it is not built on any foundation, there are successes built on wrong foundations hence it is soon taken away. But real success, which we have been discussing in our series, which is also a type of success that great people have, leaders have and successful people we can look up to and learn from also have is what we are discussing.

I want to start by saying building foundation is tedious, foundations are usually not beautiful, foundations are always hidden from the people but it is still part of the building, without foundation, all the beauty in a house cannot exist. Same with our lives if we want to be great. The higher the building, the stronger the foundation. Foundations are built with rough materials, they are put together to make it solid. Same with our lives too, foundations of success are built with rough materials like hard work, perseverance, consistence, not giving up even when we are not seeing results, diligence, discipline, integrity, good morals, good virtues, these materials are very rough. They are not easy to maintain. Many times if you are maintaining integrity or discipline, people call you names, they look down on you. They belittle you because you don't have the success that is the obvious to the world yet. But that is why we have words of motivation like this to encourage ourselves that we are on the right path. Without all these rough materials to be in the foundation of our success then it doesn't become a good success, it becomes a type of success that falls down flat at slight provocation from wind or any small thing trying to test our success.

Trying easier methods or short cuts to success doesn't give real success. Go through the right path. Do the right things to achieve success. By so doing, when the success comes you will be able to be of inspiration to others who are struggling to be successful too. But if you used the wrong materials to build your success or you use short cuts, people will not be able to learn from you. Therefore, do things right so you have good success that lasts and when tried it doesn't fall flat to the ground.
