A good read on why Wikipedia is no longer what it used to be

Today’s good read by Ted Gioia is particularly interesting because it highlights the pitfalls of a renowned, trusted resource - Wikipedia. I know our college professors hated Wiki citations (and understandably so). Wikipedia has played an important role in establishing credibility, and it’s been a familiar name for most people in the last decade or so. This was a good read because it made me think about the cracks in the system that can come up when a well-intentioned more “meritocratic” system starts to mess up because of its users.

2 年It is a wonderful read. But I wonder why Bruce Falconer is been the part of the article from top to bottom, if this is only about Bruce then its an isolated problem and not any big issue. But if this problem is with everyone or many personalities then we can say that jts problematic. In that case end of the article should be generic rather than again focusing on Bruce
