Good question....and if I came across someone like me on social media?

I’d be thinking exactly that!

But before we start scratching the surface on behaviour change....

Here are a few truth nuggets so we’re on the same playlist....

> Most apps don't work

> Most books don't cut it

> The majority of Personal Trainers in gyms don't actually understand fully how to get results with people

And yet we live in a world where there is more stress, more depression, more unfulfillment, more disease, more emotional imbalances, more obesity

We are in an ever increasingly fast-paced environment now, with thousands of fads

And yet if you’re working with a Personal Trainer, or have in the past, and they don't understand the one thing which is disrupting the fitness industry.....

You’ll find yourself being left behind, as will your PT

[and if you’re trying to figure this out on your own, like I did with my own health and fitness, then you’re on the back foot already]

Only 2% of the whole fitness industry even know about the single best solution to all the above health problems

And maybe 0.02% are certified in this new methodology

[Not so fun fact - Out of 20 people who actually succeed in getting in shape on traditional methods, 19 of them will have put it all back on, if not more, within 18 months - and of course, most people fail to achieve their goals in the first place]

Having worked on the gym floor myself and seen what goes on with my own eyes pre-COVID

I accepted that doing things differently and therefore standing out was the only way to go

Which meant moving away from what everyone else around me was doing at the time and backing myself to make it work

(I’m sure you remember what things were like back in April 2021... a month into lockdown)

Having had that reality check and made a conscious decision to change, I worked with Tim Drummond and Phil Hawksworth over at The Institute Of Fitness Behaviour Change (“IOFBC”) for over a year

Because this type of coaching (which is way more than just exercise and food) is the next decade disruptor in the fitness industry

And you only have to look at the state of the world to understand that demand for Behaviour Change Coaching is huge

But right now, the main issue is supply being so limited

Because like all quests for eventual mastery, it takes time to develop the skills necessary and actually then go implement what you’ve learnt

[Industry secret - Level 3 Personal Trainers can become 'qualified' for a few hundred pounds and within a few days]

To become a certified Behaviour Change Coach with The IOFBC it’s like the Stella Artois beer advert from back in the day.... 'Reassuringly Expensive'

Which helps to weed out those who are genuinely serious or just looking for the next quick win

But if a trainer or coach truly wants to impact their clients’ lives in a meaningful and sustainable way

And achieve transformational results with the vast majority of people they work with

(without making them eat lettuce all week and live in the gym)

Whilst avoiding the 99% of health and fitness solutions that don't actually work

Then it would stand that Behaviour Change Coaches are and will continue to be renowned Health & Fitness Coaches

So whether you’re already at the point of needing change to transform your health, fitness and mindset once and forever (like I have been in various areas of my life)

Or have a sinking feeling that you could need that within the coming months or years if you keep doing the same old things

Please do yourself a favour and check that your trainer or coach is qualified to coach you on a Behaviour Change basis
