Good news in Wellbeing and DEI

I close out this week with two pieces of good news at the intersection of Wellbeing and DEI.

First, the American Psychiatric Association has updated the DSM-5-TR manual, which is the anchor of psychiatric diagnoses in the US, to ensure that "differing rates of disorders attributed to specific communities were based on reliable studies" and that "such findings are not interpreted as reflecting genetic differences.” Two groups of professionals undertook a thorough process, which seems like a model for others to follow. Kudos!

Second, Citigroup is one of the most prominent employers to address “changes in reproductive health care laws in certain states.” They now “provide travel benefits to facilitate access to adequate resources,” according to the Compensation and Human Capital Management section of their Proxy Statement. Kudos to you, too!

It's a particularly good week for good news, though there's never a bad time!
