I have often said that the Plant With Purpose gala is my favorite day of the year and it comes at the end of my favorite week of the year.
I love the teamwork building up to the event, and I really enjoy the opportunity to be together with those who make our work possible. Nothing could be done without our larger Plant With Purpose family of supporters. You are as much partners and owners of this work as we are.
This year, for the first time in 25 years, we are unable to be together in person. But as with many things, there are hidden blessings. Here are four:
1. The celebration isn’t limited to people in San Diego. We can welcome you no matter where in the United States (or around the world) that you might be.
2. The event is free. Without an expensive dinner, we don’t need to charge you anything. So come on in, participate in what you like, and find out more about what we are about.
3. The event can adapt to anyone’s schedule. There are live events and recorded events over the next three days, but all of the sessions will be available to watch at any time, and staff members will be on hand to answer your questions on any session throughout the next three days. We have already started, but it is not too late to register.
4. All donations over the next three days will be matched. We have an incredible matching grant of $345,000, so the first $345,000 donated in the next three days will be doubled.
