Good news for Forestry

Good news for Forestry

The Scottish Government published guidance on safe working in the forestry sector

https://forestry.gov.scot/covid-19

The advice applies to other outdoor workers e.g. peatland restoration, wildlife and nature reserve management, and ecological surveys and research as part of general “environmental management “

This very welcome as it means that, if it is safe to do so, all forestry operations can start up. We. Guidance is also available from Scottish Forestry in its guide

'Working safely during coronavirus (COVID-19) in forestry'.

The relaxations however do not apply to shooting , hunting or visitor facilities like cafes, visitor centres or accommodation.
