Good news break: AT&T Field Operations heroes keep us #ConnectedTogether
On a March morning in Cleveland, Ohio, a team of AT&T technicians spotted something out of the ordinary hanging on the fence in the parking lot of their garage.
A hand-painted cardboard sign, affixed with an American flag, that read – “Thank you AT&T 1st Responders.”
That same day, more of these signs mysteriously appeared at AT&T garages across the Cleveland area. The signs warmed and brightened the otherwise chilly, overcast day. But there was still a cloud of mystery. Who made them? We’re all still trying to figure that out.
When I heard this story – I was immediately moved. And when I heard the emotional boost these signs had on our technicians in Cleveland, (one described the signs as “a breath of fresh air”) I wanted to share it with you.
But why stop with just that story?
Over the past few weeks, we’ve received hundreds of emails from grateful customers who, because of our field technicians, have a link from their homes and businesses to the world.
The notes describe our technicians with words like “amazing,” “lifesaving,” and “hero.” They are that ... and more!
Our customers need us more than ever right now. In March alone, our team of field technicians visited more than 1.2 million customers across the United States. I’m so proud and encouraged by every one of them for stepping up during this challenging time.
The work that our technicians do is more than just important – it’s essential. And our customers describe them as heroes for a simple reason. They bring security, peace and the ability to stay in contact with family and friends during this unprecedented time.

I’ll be sharing more of these good news stories over the coming weeks that feature our field technicians … because our customers aren’t the only ones who call them heroes. I do too. So, check back soon to read about how our teams set up a COLT at lightning speed for quarantined travelers.
If you have an AT&T Field Operations hero who you’d like to give a shout out to, please let me know in the comments below.

4 年I am truly honored and proud of each of my technicians who go out into the elements each and every day, head first, to keep our community connected. Some run from adversity, but our employees lead the charge. I hear stories from our customers who are so thankful and appreciative of the work they do that allows our customers to stay in touch with family, loved ones and friends. Our local longtime weatherman in the metro, trusted by the people, is able to provide a live stream video from home. Keeping everyone informed on weather and events all due to our reaponsive team of technicians. Kids are connected to their teachers and able to continue their education from home. This is our finest moment!
