Good Morning God: Focus
It is the job of a creative to capture one small piece of a larger image and allow the viewer to see it in a unique way. We are always creating something out of a chaos of details, focus is necessary to lessen the peripherals and concentrate on what we seek to describe.
This is much like faith, there are so many peripherals that distract us from our faith. God tends to get lost in the details. It is quite a task to stop our minds from racing and to see God in the stillness of the moment.
I have had a change in seeing things this week, nothing earth-shattering, just a slight change in my focus. I have sought quiet, allowed a sacred part of my day to simply speak in a full and meaningful conversation of all the things that I aspire for.
No, I"m not asking to win the library, I am simply asking to find peace in my day, to find focus in the day to day and quite miraculously, I have begun to see God in a whole new light.
Gone, at least for the moment, is the racing ideas and overwhelming feeling of doing something, something I can't even put my finger on. Instead, I am enjoying the moment, embracing my inner peace.
