A GOOD MISTAKE

SPECIAL EDITION

Sometimes I have a degree in procrastination, other times I don’t. Hello, I am Tolu and I am human. That will be the introduction for now. When I attend events, after my bio has been read at an event this is often how I start my presentation. Initially, it sounds funny to the audience and almost cliché or like I am trying to identify as a human (which I am anyways). I choose this introduction because I am human and it reminds me of just how different and unique I am. For the longest time possible (almost 2 years now) I have seen, thought and imagined writing about my thoughts but an old friend kept me occupied (procrastination). On a fateful day, I was sitting on one of my favourite objects (take a guess) when I actually started listening to this particular letter in my mind. After a while, I started writing. Easy-peasy! That’s how I wrote this.
As the name implies, I have decided to give a rare insight into my mind. Sometimes I am so wowed by the thoughts and activities that go on there. If you have always been intrigued by me or you want to know me more then this newsletter is for you. It will be published biweekly and it will cover a range of thematic areas and topic. Welcome to a rare opportunity to peep into my mind.

P.S: Its probably not what you expect.

KEEP YOUR MIND OPEN TILL YOU HEAR MY NEXT THOUGHT.

Tolu’s mind.

You just read what should have been the first episode of my newsletter. Some months (March) ago I started writing a newsletter but I was concerned about consistency. I decided to try and write newsletters that could be published over a year before launching, so I procrastinated the launch. Recently, the thought came to launch and I procrastinated telling myself it wasn't time and I'll start in the new year.

However, exactly a week ago, I mistakenly published what should have been a normal article under my newsletter section. Since, it was a scheduled post I didn't even notice the mistake until I saw a comment where a friend said she had subscribed and I got other similar messages. Last I checked, over a thousand people have already subscribed! (sounds like a good mistake) God clearly has a sense of humor.

Welcome to my mind, sometimes it gets really loud and busy, other times it is very quiet.
In this newsletter, you will hear my thoughts on a variety of subjects like social impact, governance, life, graduate tips, entry level roles among others.

For anyone looking to launch or start something new, it is okay to start. You don't have to wait for the new year. The year has not ended and beautiful things can still happen.

New year is just another beautiful day filled with celebrations and gratitude.

Among many things one of my goals for this newsletter is to create a safe space for dialogues that will propel growth, feel free to dialogue in the comment sections and I will reply. The newsletter will be published bi-weekly with periodic special features. One of my personal goals is to be a consultant and my new friends gave me a new nickname that I like. I have decided to use it to sign my newsletter while working and waiting for the manifestation.

Trivial: What do you do with an oracle?

Keep your mind open till you hear my next thoughts,

D Oracle!
