GOOD LUCK TO THE ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEES FROM THE POODLES OF PARK AVENUE BY KAREN-CHERIE COGANE!

GOOD LUCK TO THE ACADEMY AWARD NOMINEES FROM THE POODLES OF PARK AVENUE BY KAREN-CHERIE COGANE!

The 93rd Academy Awards will be on ABC TV on Sunday, April 25 at 8:00 pm ET. Dashing Oscar reappears at this time of year.

A vision in gold, this dapper gentleman never gets old.

This year the ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood and Highland Center, and at Union Station in Los Angeles.

There is no host, but the A-List presenters will give it their most, including the talented: Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Bong Joon Ho, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Viola Davis, Laura Dern, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Rita Moreno, Joaquin Phoenix, Brad Pitt, Reese Witherspoon, Renee Zellweger, and Zendaya.

The Red Carpet will be limited, due to the corona virus protocols, but it starts at 6:30 p.m. ET. Even though there will be fewer stars and thus, less outfits, I can hardly wait to see everyone looking great.

The nominees and their plus ones will stroll in tuxes and elegant gowns for a prestigious night on the town.

ABC’s "Oscars: Into the Spotlight" will be televised at 7 p.m. ET.

Celebrities are busy bees. It’s called fame, and everyone shouts their name.

So, what picture will reign?

Will “Nomadland” win for best flick? What’s your pick?

Maybe the film “Minari” will take over the night.

Or perhaps the “Sound of Metal” will garner a gold statue.

“Promising Young Woman” could also win.

As the camera pans into the nominees, they are thinking: “Pick me, please!”

Will Andra Day be Best Actress for “The United States v. Billie Holiday?”

Perhaps Frances McDormand in “Nomadland” will win the Oscar?

Or will Carey Mulligan for her performance in “Promising Young Woman” take a Best Actress bow?

Maybe it will be Viola Davis for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” Who can tell?

Let’s not forget Vanessa Kirby, the nominee for “Pieces of a Woman.” Will she come up to the stage for Best Actress accolades?

It is likely Chadwick Boseman will receive a post-humous Best Actor award for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.”

Or will Riz Ahmed take home the Best Actor statue for “Sound of Metal?”

Maybe Anthony Hopkins will win a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in “The Father,” Gary Oldman for “Mank,” or Steven Yeun for “Minari.”

Best Supporting Actress and Actor: Odds are that there will be applause for Maria Bakalova for “Borat Subsequent Moviefilm” and Leslie Odom Jr. for “One Night in Miami."

This year two women are nominated for Best Director: Chloe Zhao for “Nomadland” and Emerald Fennell for “Promising Young Woman.”

The other Best Director nominees are: Lee Isaac Chung for “Minari,” Thomas Vinterberg for “Another Round,” and David Fincher for “Mank.”

Best Original Screenplay: Will the Oscar go to "Judas and the Black Messiah," with the screenplay by Will Berson and Shaka King; Story by Will Berson, Kenny Lucas, and Keith Lucas? Or will it be "Minari," screenplay by Lee Isaac Chung? Will "Promising Young Woman," screenplay by Emerald Fennell get the Academy Award? "The Trial of the Chicago 7," written by Aaron Sorkin may steal the show. Or will "Sound of Metal," screenplay by Darius Marder and Abraham Marder; Story by Darius Marder and Derek Cianfrance win for Best Original Screenplay?

Best Adapted Screenplay may go to "Borat Subsequent Moviefilm" with a whole group of screenwriters, including Sacha Baron Cohen. "Nomadland," adapted for the screen by Chloe Zhao is a likely contender for the Oscar. Or "The Father" by Christopher Hampton and Florian Zeller may receive the Academy Award. Kemp Powers' adapted screenplay for "One Night in Miami" might get the Academy Award or Ramin Bahrani's adaption for "The White Tiger."

For Best Original Song, the five nominees are: "Fight for You," from "Judas and the Black Messiah." Music by H.E.R. and Dernst Emile II and Lyrics by H.E.R. and Tiara Thomas; "Hear My Voice" from "The Trial of the Chicago 7." Music by Daniel Pemberton and Lyrics by Daniel Pemberton and Celeste Waite; "Husavik," from "Eurovision Song Contest," Music and Lyrics by Savan Kotecha, Fat Max Gsus and Richard Goransson; "Io Si (Seen)," from "The Life Ahead." Music by Diane Warren and Lyrics by Diane Warren and Laura Pausini; and "Speak Now," from "One Night in Miami." Music and Lyrics by Leslie Odom Jr. and Sam Ashworth. My hunch is the Academy Award will go to "Speak Now."

So, who will the winners be in all the categories? Watch the Academy Awards show, and soon you'll know!

Fast Forward to Simone on April 25:

“Hello! It’s Simone, the Park Avenue poodle, and I’m at our Oscars viewing soiree at our apartment! And I'm so excited!

My parents, Raymond and Grace, a few of our human pals, Ricardo, my poodle beau, and Jorge, his person, are here.

Mojito, my Chihuahua walking partner, is home with his people, who actually have the night off. Hope he has a nice time with his humans watching the Oscars, but I am glad and relieved the temperamental dog will not be at our party. He is always making such a commotion.

Frank, my dog walker, will watch the Academy Awards with his family, but he walked me earlier. Raymond and Grace will take me on a stroll later. Mojito is being walked by his parents, for a change.

Jorge, who is also our chef, made gourmet creations and quenching libations.

We invited Ardsley, our butler, to our small bash, but he declined. Said he would watch the show with some of his English pals, who live in NYC. Instead, I think the real reason Ardsley isn't coming is he does not want to see Jorge shine. He is so jealous of our handsome chef, and I can't blame him. But Ardsley needs to tone it down and change his bad attitude.

And now for the food: Fancy hors d’oeuvres selections of sushi, sashimi, caviar, truffles, and quiche will be served.

A pre-show steak dinner with an array of sauteed veggies, scalloped potatoes, and home-made rolls will please the palate. And that’s not it.

Gold frosted cupcakes with chocolate ganache inside and French champagne are more delights for this festive night. I might take some sipees and get a little tipsy. Yippee!

A cake is de rigueur for the occasion, so the gifted Jorge baked a stunning chocolate gateau with chocolate frosting and edible gold flakes, too!

For those who want a smaller dessert, Jorge made pretty petit fours, which I adore. They are decorated with floral designs and are in pastel colors. Almost look too good to eat, but my, oh my, I’ll definitely give them a try. They’re the perfect size to fit into my poodle mouth. But how can anyone have just one?

There is even a gold edible Oscar statue that is dark chocolate, that Jorge created, of course. I don’t know if any person will take a bite of it, but I would really love to. I’m just saying.

Everyone is commiserating and celebrating.

Mom and dad are all dressed up, and I am their decked-out poodle pup. My hair is all blown out, and that’s what it’s all about!

Stylish Grace is wearing a gold gown, and Raymond is wearing a black luxe tux. Mom’s hair is up in a chic bun, and her ears are adorned with gold dangling earrings. Her swan-like neck shows off a glimmering gold necklace.

Jorge is also wearing a black tux, but he has a long white chef’s apron on, while he is cooking.

My big dream is to play a premier role on the big screen!

If they make a movie about me, Simone Margery, I want to win an Academy Award for Best Dog Actress. Yes!

I’ll play the lead, and Ricardo, my love, can play himself.

Since I’m a canine with clout, the paparazzi will shout: ‘Simone! Simone! Who are you wearing? Can I take your photo?’ It will be a VIP, Very Important Poodle photo opportunity, so I’ll agree. Bien sur, everyone will be looking at me.

Good Luck to all the talented nominees! May the best canines, I mean, people win!

I’m so excited I could dance, and I’ll exclaim: ‘Bonne Chance!’

How about having the Oscars next year for Best Dog Actress and Actor in a Leading Role and the other categories? Pretty please? This can be part of the Academy Awards main show, and all the VIP humans and canines will go.

I have my acceptance speech ready: ‘I’d like to thank my pet parents, Raymond and Grace, my boyfriend, Ricardo, my dog walker, Frank, Jorge, my chef, my stylist, Lilly, and . . .’

As LA will welcome me, I know I'll fit in perfectly.

Not trying to blow my own horn, but I will take Hollywood by storm!

Maybe daddy can also buy a house in Beverly Hills, and we will thrive on Rodeo Drive. We’ll keep our Manhattan apartment, but when I’m shooting, we can stay here. After all, it’s sunny and warm most times of the year.

P. S. First pic: Here’s my glossy, and I even know jazz paws by Fosse!
