Integrity is a virtue. -Cornell We need to hold ourselves accountable for being virtuous.

Processes and team participation needs to hold constant good virtues that are carried out with integrity! -Lauren

It is important to be prepared to address mistakes and be prepared to admit when you're wrong. -Cornell

*Communication needs checks and balances.

Team Building

All people, but, especially entrepreneurs running on only blood sweat and tears, need to hold each other accountable. Don't tear each other down. No matter how much you need to express yourself. Instead communicate with passion and enthusiasm. Communication skills are always developed by those desiring to understand before being understood. Listen before you speak. Seek to truly understand what someone is saying to you. Then attempt to communicate with the listener’s point of view in mind.

Remember...

*Everyone has personal lives going on

*We all think differently

*Great communication skills are vital

A leader must motivate, teach and show those they oversee how things are done as a properly communicating team by their managers. It's important for superiors to regularly work alongside their team. You do not need to share negativity at work. Keeping a smile on and keeping going regardless of life is important. Individually and as a company you need to communicate and grow together. One-on-ones with everyone is important to share any disputes together before bringing in another party to help judge the situation. Third parties, one extra person, who can listen to help communicate and/or mediate a situation is very useful. How you speak comes after growing how you listen first. Being a delayed realizer does happen to the best of us. But get back to the person when you're ready to communicate or understand what happened in a different frame of mind.

For instance, Cornell Bunting lives in the moment while still extracting from his life, career and educational knowledge bank at all times. It can be trying, but don't expect much from others when it's not vital for both parties. Especially things like remembering what Cornell said on this Urban Xtra radio show which aired Tuesday April 10, 2018. He knows to not expect his listeners to have caught a misspoken statement; but still he desires to be understood. Therefore is correcting his misspoken Disney statement here.

Again, like Brian Franklin of GCL said, "Being a delayed realizer does happen to the best of us." And being able to own up to any missteps you may have taken is vital. From the trivial statement of an inaccurate statement like Cornell did on his previous show about the total number of Disney's failures before becoming the successful conglomerate Disney is today. The important thing is that he spoke his truth at that moment. His point was still articulated - that failure happens to all greats. It can be very hard. But, how you pick yourself up and carry on is the most important part of good communication. Empathy , caring about those around you and understanding where they are coming from is not the same as agreeing with them. You need to understand what they are trying to communicate. Before you can truly care and have empathy.

*We can solve wars with better communications.

*We are all still learning and growing.

*Listen, care and make it happen!

It's important to say things like Cornell has in the workplace: "Help me. Help me help you. I need to understand why this is unfolding so that we can plan for your situation." For instance, a co-worker that's always late needs someone to be there earlier to cover the time they're not there. So communicate with them and see why and how you can work out the situation in a mutually beneficial situation.

Cornell's kids say they like his stories but his words aren't annunciated correctly and his boys say, “Dad that's not how it's pronounced.” Luckily, he recognizes he lacks at English annunciation since he's from Jamaica and the UK. Therefor he works harder and speaks from the heart. He recognizes it doesn't do any good to worry about a misspoken word. As long as he's understood. An individual that's gone through an experience similar to a current situation usually has insight to help with that current ordeal. One living a conscientious life knows how to lay it out. Good leaders have passion and seek to first understand then to be understood. Cornell realizes he uses slang. For instance, when he says “isn't it” meaning, is that right. Or, “brouve” meaning “bro” also trying to communicate, my brother, my friend, my good colleague. Regardless of language barriers, we can and should slow it down, be clear. Seek first to understand then to be understood. Then go the extra mile, restate the outcome by both parties to be clear. When we stray off track, that's ok. Get the conversation back on track. This happens in all walks of life, like at work. Stay on track but keep it light and share real life stories to relate. Ensure to complete that interactions’ agenda while being conscientious of the listeners objective and time and life around it all.

*Loyalty is very important.

Men and women need to make decisions. Like Allecia, single mom, Partner of Gulf Coast Leisure (GCL). Empowering women is important to her. She is a great example of a strong household leader & a strong leader in business. GCL is a creative business consulting company. They support local SWFL individuals. They support fine art, graphic design, social media and helping people thrive. GCL is even helping companies get started. Being a decision maker, knowing right from wrong keeping possible outcomes and the ability to make decisions in the moment is important. Managerial competence means many things. It's important to see an individual that's good at what they're doing AND tell them they can take on the challenge! Regardless of their level of personal faith. Movements for women to follow their dreams are out there. Upbringing plays a huge part on your outcome. For instance, teaching kids how to do electricity, install household fixtures, change tires is important on top of getting good grades. It's important to acknowledge people stepping up and getting it done. Sooner than you know it, someone on training wheels will take off.

If you communicate, have loyalty and respect it, all comes together if you take action like Captain Planet, Power Rangers or Voltron. Unfortunately, we live in a world with stifling leaders; therefore communication is all that more important! Managers not only need to know how to lead; but must also must know how and when to follow.

*Always start with the basics.

*It takes a lot to be a good leader.

Ambitious individual’s role commonly changes at a moment's notice. For instance, during the day you may be a special events coordinator. Then someone in your personal or work life may need you to be a counselor. This is common with good, caring leaders. Women may experience the need to comfort and soothe more often than men. Though men should never ignore their need to be a compassionate partner in life, society and in the workplace.

Great leaders, like Walt Disney and his brother Roy O. Disney persevered through numerous failures and financing rejections. Walt Disney’s firm, Laugh-O-Gram Studio,[ChWDC 1] went bankrupt in 1923. Then Alice’s Wonderland sparked a failed Alice comedies series. Can you imagine a world without Disney? Walt couldn't, he had courage and strength to succeed despite adversity.

People looking at others as tools is common. And good, watching eyes can help you grow. Don't let others judgements hold you back.

*Don't forget to have charisma.

Tell teammates and friends you can do this! Shine on with your charismatic self! Visit www.cornellbunting.com for motivational guest appearances and much, much more.

Since 2012 GCL - Gulf Coast Leisure has developed nightlife events, summer celebrations and community outreach by collaborating with local nonprofits. In their first and longest running event the renowned Art & Poetry Networking event (APNE), fourth Thursday of the month. GCL started out as a need that was missing in the area, the ability to self-express and be yourself on a stage in the SWFL community that would be monthly but more importantly, consistently. Don't underestimate society's need for consistency. Think about the last time you went into a chain store and were confused because it was a different layout than your normal, same name store. Consistency helps us feel life is more familiar and maybe even makes you feel comfortable at times.
