Differently-abled Udaya Nayak never let his condition hinder his zest for life. However, there was one persistent obstacle that he couldn’t overcome—his failing eyesight. For years, he had squinted through blurred vision, unable to afford the medical treatment he desperately needed.

For the first time in years, Udaya underwent a comprehensive eye examination at our eye camp organized in his village. Udaya was handed a pair of glasses.

The impact was immediate and profound. Udaya could now perform his daily activities with ease. Tasks that had once been daunting were now manageable.

He thanked Care Netram enough for their support and generosity.

Madhumita Nayak and Malati Barik, two best friends from Murusuan Village in Odisha, live humble lives filled with shared joys and struggles. Their bond is a testament to the power of friendship.

We had the pleasure of meeting these two wonderful women at our eye camp organized in their village. Both Madhumita and Malati had been struggling with distant vision. They were provided with high-quality vision glasses, transforming their world.

The smiles on their faces spoke volumes about their gratitude. As they donned their new glasses, their faces lit up with joy. They eagerly posed for the camera, their happiness evident. Returning home with clear vision and radiant smiles, Madhumita and Malati’s day was truly brightened.

Good Vision Team Provides Vision Care at Keonjhar Forest Camp

Care Netram organized a special eye check-up camp for forest officers and the local community in Uchhabali, Keonjhar district, on May 30, 2024. During this camp, 55 individuals received free eye examinations. Among them, 34 people were identified as needing corrective glasses and were provided with them on the spot.

The smiles and words of thanks from the villagers highlighted the profound impact of this initiative, making it a memorable and meaningful day for everyone involved.

A Tale of Hope and Gratitude

Bringing Clarity to Ajodhya Village - The Story of Surendra and Saraswati Barik

Surendra Barik (age 70) and Saraswati Barik (age 60) from Ajodhya village, Basudevpur block, Bhadrak district, are a devoted husband and wife. However, age was not by their side and both of their lives were hindered by falling eyesight.

Due to financial constraints, they were unable to seek proper medical attention. Thankfully, they attended our Care Netram camp and received free eye check-ups. Both were able to purchase two pairs of glasses at an affordable price, which resolved their vision problems.

Their smiles and heartfelt thanks underscored their appreciation for the positive impact on their lives.

The Machine Operator Gets Back Clear Vision

Mr. Bagua Paswan works at a coal mine in Dhanbad as a machine operator. Due to the strenuous nature of his work, he began experiencing difficulty in seeing properly, which caused numerous challenges in his professional life. Fortunately, he heard about the free eye testing camp organized by Care Netram at his BCCL office.

As soon as the camp began, Bagua wasted no time in getting his eyes tested. Upon receiving a pair of spectacles, he noticed an immediate improvement in his vision. Now equipped with clear vision, Bagua can perform his duties efficiently and on time, enhancing his productivity at work.
