GOOD

GOOD

Today is Good Friday.

The day Jesus was put on a cross and died.

I think about what a hard choice that was.

To sacrifice His human life for a greater purpose.

We all know how the story ends.

It was the death of one iteration of Him, and the beginning of a new one.

This makes me think about marriage.

Many couples struggle with the decision to let their relationship die or to work together and create something better and stronger.?

In the latter, certain sacrifices must be made.

Certain things have to go:

Self righteousness.

Blaming and finger pointing.

Defensiveness.

Resentment.

Toxic communication.

It’s not always easy to learn to let these things go and to replace them with more healthy ways of being.

But the reward on the other side is GREAT.

You both get a marriage that feels like the best gift you could ever receive.

You get a partner that feels like your best friend.

You get to be seen, heard, and understood without being criticized or controlled.

You receive support, encouragement and appreciation.?

You have more PEACE and can finally stop walking on eggshells.

What feels dead and lifeless can absolutely be brought back to life.

It just takes two partners who are ready to break their bad patterns, learn new skills, and fully step into loving each other well.?

This is the work we do inside my couples coaching program, The Marriage UpGrade.

For you, it can be the beginning of a marriage that’s better, happier, and most of all, healthy.??

THAT is such good news.

For you.

For your spouse.

For your entire family.?
