Be A Good Client, So You Can Be A Great Agent.

While this statement can have tremendous potential in charting our own growth both personally, and professionally, let’s focus on its impact with our real estate listing emails.

Sometimes we forget what it is like to be a consumer of our email marketing content. We think too much, over communicate, and quite possibly miss the mark in simply focusing on the goal of our email - getting a response. Keeping it simple is the best way to get a response.

Suspend the notion that you will market, show, negotiate, and close your deal in a single email blast. The goal of your email is to simply get a response.

Here are five points that should be included in your listing emails to drastically increase the probability of a response. From there, your finely crafted sales skills will kick in and move the conversation (and deal) forward.

PERSONALIZATION. Everyone wants to hear and see their name. Personalize your emails with the recipient's name and other relevant information. Addressing recipients by their name can significantly increase engagement.

PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY. Hot photos work - especially in real estate. Use high-quality images of the property to capture the attention of your audience. Professional photography can make a significant difference in how your listing is perceived.

CALL-TO-ACTION. Get clear on what you want to happen and make it easy for your recipient to act. Clearly include a call-to-action in your email, prompting recipients to take the next step, such as visiting the property's website, contacting you, or attending an open house.

PROVIDE VALUE. Often underestimated, but your listing is not a one-size-fits-all property. What is the key value of your listing and push it. Find a connection with other agents with highly qualified buyers looking for that exact value proposition. It’s ok to send multiple emails with different Value Propositions.

BE RELEVANT. Offer valuable content beyond just property listings. This could include market updates, neighborhood spotlights, home buying/selling tips, or information about local events and amenities. Get your email to have shelf life.

Communicate a clear message that connects with your target audience.

By implementing these strategies, you can step up your email marketing game and really ‘hear’ what your audience is asking for and they, in turn, will respond to your email.
