This year is an absolutely new year for all the Agilist!! ??
What is the reflection at the end of 2020?

Few of the Principle says
- The most efficient and effective method of conveying information to and within a development team is face-to-face conversation.
- Business people and developers must work together daily throughout the project.
- The best architectures, requirements, and designs emerge from self-organizing teams.
- At regular intervals, the team reflects on how to become more effective, then tunes and adjusts its behavior accordingly.
In 2020, we were having challenges in carrying out these Agile Values and Principles, even though the technology was enabling us to obtain these….
But it was new normal and challenges initially to figure out what innovative ways we can accomplish these Being Agile traits.
What has been observed in 2020, which will again prevail in 2021
- Leaders who have adapted and responded with urgency and cruised through uncertainty have distinguished themselves.
- With thorough collaboration great things have evolved, leaders who exercised the common wisdom of the teams flourished faster. Leaders who had involved the team more to make the decision is in advantage.
- Leaders who are working in silos and not having better people skills were suffered the most. Their team, the business, also struggles maximum. The same issue with team members as well. Local optimization, think local or within parts, silos are the victim.
- In today’s virtual situation, compassion and empathy significantly helped the leaders to navigate the crisis moments. Pandemic has taught us this.
- Team members who have aided each other are expanded as a stronger performing team. Share and care mindset has established emotional stability to overcome anxiety issues.
- A clear, transparent two-way communication helped the team to be on top of everything and overcome many challenges. Teams which are open for discussion, suggestion, and engaged with each other better at this time of the crises. Everything is possible in a virtual network. Pandemic has proved that everything possible virtually.
- Technology is performing a profoundly substantial role in our life, Online, virtual, digital with better experience all are the need of the hours in product and solutions. Better devices and effective usages of devices, appropriate working agreement during the online communication served the communities to feel they are in real connection.
- Virtual talent is accessible at the place in the world at any time, and the pandemic has proved that. The Accessibility of the talent was real quick which enable the team to resolve issues faster.
- Few businesses are undergoing challenges, and new businesses are appearing and dominating. People's innovation and spot the opportunity enabled the business to flourish.
- During pandemic we are working more closure with family members, working longer hours! We are learning better, spending quality time at home, learning new hobbies and new practices!
- Broadband/Internet connectivity is the lifeline! Connectivity with devices is the key in way forward. Apps, Tools etc usages need explore and use for better productivity.
- Collaboration, Communication, Compassion are the best skills needed in this virtual working environment. The team has realized this and start polishing and maximizing those skills.
- The community feeling is easily growing and establishing better relation, be it work life or in personal life. Pandemic has taught us to connect with the community and share and care for others. we learn from each other and so community connection makes us relevant for the future.
- Ambiguity and uncertainty are part of the pandemic time. Resiliency is the key for all the team members, whatever may happen, how fast team members can come out with quick solutions to resolve the issues is the need of the hour
- Adaptability is one of the drivers at the time of corona. Let go of some of the best practices, find something new in the current context to stay relevant.
All of us are conscious of all these facets, it just that how better we are training our self and later serving others through coaching to become stronger, signifies a lot.
These are a few of my observations for 2020, which I am sure will be used more in near future...Happy new year 2021!!!
