The Good Business Thought 2

Good morning team leaders,

Welcome to a brand new week.

I would like to share this article with you and hope that, by the end, it yields personal and organizational productivity.

I once mentioned to my colleagues that business is built on relationship building and trust.

If you don't trust people, it will be very difficult to work with them. Trust is the glue that holds all team members together. John C. Maxwell said, "To be trusted is far better than to be loved." It is evident that we are living in a world of low trust; that's why issues like SIM Swap seem to be a significant concern in business.

People are the greatest assets of any company; in other words, people are also your liabilities if they fail to carry out their duties as organizational citizens.

Why do people fail? We have heard the same question asked about why businesses fail. People fail because they fail to build themselves. And it is people who make up a company. Once the people in a company fail, it will be difficult for an organization to achieve its corporate objectives. Efficiency is doing things right, while effectiveness is doing the right thing.

A human resources-compliant organization invests heavily in its most important asset every year.

A good reader is a good leader. The moment you stop reading is the moment you stop leading.

What creates growth in us is what we consume. If you want to grow to the size of an elephant, you have to consume what an elephant is eating. Read books, listen to tapes, take courses, and stretch yourself.

As a Customer Care Representative, we need to read books on the profession. Many opportunities exist on Google . Examples of good books are "Customers for Life" by Carl Sewell, "Who Says the Elephant Can't Dance...Inside the IBM Turn Around" by Louis V Gerstner Jr., "Talk Your Way to The Top (Communication Secrets to Change Your Life)" by Kelvin Hogan, and "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey.

There is a saying that goes, "Pay now and play later, and vice versa." If you can buy and read books, you will see the results. You can't grow beyond what you know. Information is powerful. For how long do you want to be an obedient servant? Information can take you to where you have been dreaming. With books, you can travel the whole world in a minute. Books will enable you to understand the various behaviors of people you interact with and appreciate them for who they are, rather than quarreling with them or sending the wrong body language. You can create a win/win relationship with people if you read books on personal effectiveness. It's all about paying the price.

Every great leader reads books. If they don't read, they will be leading for nothing, and their result will be bad leadership.

A customer called me yesterday to ask what the full meaning of GSM is. We were asked by Collins Lakoju during our MTNN training, "What is an industry compared to commerce?" We don't have any excuse for not knowing certain things. Learning doesn't end after graduation. On a higher note, a book says learning is a lifelong process.

We would like to build a team that can be rated high. We have professionals here in our connect stores with knowledge that goes beyond SIM Swap. We troubleshoot all kinds of systems brought in by our customers. We are sales superstars who believe that selling is the basis of our business. Without selling, there would be no earnings. If there is any rating scheme or ranking out there, I want to believe that my team can always be at the top. We sharpen our swords every day through reading, training, and development.

As a team leader, we should not look for praise; rather, we should look for constructive criticism to enable us to grow. We should see failure as our teacher and learn the art of failing forward. Because success, they say, is not a destination but a journey. We should question the status quo. We should challenge our comfort zone. A ship in a harbor is safe, but that is not what a ship is built for.

Dear working colleague, I have been privileged to read books that have taught me so much about organization and corporate ability. I spent a lot on books way back in 2011, buying 12 books with my salary for self-development. When I talk, my pals listen to me. Many embrace me as a life coach and talking expert. That's just a compliment. I have a friend working in KPMG who invests in books. Kunle would tell you that you can't win a lottery without a ticket. Everything in life comes with a price tag. Today, Kunle is an HR practitioner who has toured companies from Chevron, Guinness Diageo, ExxonMobil, and KPMG. What a good career path. 雪佛龙 GUINESS Diageo Exxon Mobil Fleet Cards KPMG

I would like to share a quote that triggered me in my junior class, "You would be the same person you are in the next 5 years, except for the books you read, the people you walk with, and the tapes you listen to."

This week, I urge us to use our selling skills to up-sell and cross-sell all available products.

I wish us a very nice day.

You will succeed.

Thank you.
